USCCA is what I have. Never needed it and that is the best kind to haveA 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

If I understand USCCA terms correctly, it's a 'pay now' plan, not a 're-imburse later' plan.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

This topic discussed a lot on this forum, search for past threads. Summarize key ideas from past threads: if you have CCW, then go with CCWSafe+USCCA. CCWSafe is "boots on the ground" having their own investigators, they will work with USCCA to figure out how to pay each other. If no CCW (most of us here in CA) then look into umbrella rider policies with your homeowner insurance for potential civil suits if the creep or creep's family sues you in civil court.
If you follow Tom Givens "appropriate use of deadly force" then the ONLY time you shoot someone is to defend yourself or your family in your own home/property when the creep is imposing "imminent deadly force" on you. CA has "castle doctrine" If you use deadly force as absolutely last resort, then DA will be reluctant to charge you for criminal because high probability they will lose. Since I don't have CCW, I don't need USCCA or other "carry insurance"; only my homeowner+umbrellaComment
