It could easily be declared at check in. One can argue the ammo was in containers designed for them (magazines and boxes).
Probably the chamber was empty. As the safety was in "FIRE" position, likely the hammer was down and the safety could not be turned to "SAFE".
Not sure what the laws are in NJ, but TSA should not be checking for local gun law violations.

From the Article:From Reality:Our TSA officers are very skilled at detecting firearms and other prohibited items- https://www.cntraveler.com/story/tsa...nt-of-the-timeTSA Fails to Detect Weapons More Than 70 Percent of the Time. And believe it or not, that's an improvement.Comment

UNLESS she's juiced in with the Mafia, or highly placed demtards (one & the same in the D.C./Philthy/Joisey/New Yawk/Bahstan corridor), she will be placed UNDER the jail, and the key will be lost. Joisey is at LEAST as bad as CA.
And yeah - she should've driven to PHILTHY, declared it, and flown out of THERE!

You cannot hide a gun behind the lining of a suitcase because they are x-rayed as they pass thru the scanner. Ignorant lady. The ammo and loaded mags are legal IF she would have declared and checked them thru. She would have, could have, done the transportation of all; legally-ignorant lady.Comment
