livescan for COE.

hello, I wondering if anybody has any information on if livescan are being delayed. Submitted the livescan June 11, DOJ and FBI cleared same day, firearms is still in progress. My ccw coe only took 8 days to complete, so I find it odd. Does a livescan for COE normally takes this long or am I just being inpatient?

Probably just eager impatience.

I haven't done a COE livescan but my CCW livescan took 6 or 7 days to clear. 6-8 sounds like the average I've heard for firearms in general anyway.

I did, hence why I am here. After talking to a member, he said it took him 4 weeks to get everything thru, including livescan.

so 35+ days is much longer than usual. I already got the ffl 03 in the mail, just being held up by the state.

Good to hear. Perhaps ill contact the DOJ bureau of firearms, make sure they didn't confuse my name with a criminal.

I believe I sent it June 4th and I got it this week. so 5-6 weeks. Have you completed your livescan for COE?

Thanks for the heads up on timeline for the FFL 03. I just did the Livescan for COE yesterday, so looks like I have a bit of a wait...

Firearms portion of the livescan never cleared, however DOJ must have read my thread because they approved my COE this morning. So If anybody happens to find this thread in the future, just know that for me at least, the firearms portion of the livescan never changed to "complete." So like mentioned before, 5-6 weeks for COE and 4 weeks for FFL03. At least for me.
