I like my local FFL, but am struggling to get a good appointment lately. Does anyone have an FFL they are having good luck with recently in the coastal San Diego area?

My best advice would be to make a list of FFL's you might want to use & call them. Tell them what you want to do & ask to make an appointment.

Both Gussler's & Gunfighter Tactical are outstanding but neither is anywhere near the "coast".

DOJ took 13 days but that's out of our control.

Mr. Beretta and I went to Gunfighter Tactical to do an ammo transfer and we were taken care of quickly.

Precision Gun Works San Diego in Vista CA. Everything is appointment only. Transfer fee is $45 for first timers, then $35 for return customers. And if you're truly unlucky, the invoice will get lost in transit and the FFL will be unable to charge CA tax, gosh I hate when that happens.

I live in the Palm Springs area and Precision Gun Works San Diego is STILL my go-to FFL. The ease of business there plus his rates are well worth the drive for me. I was just there this past Saturday for a pickup of 3 different firearms. I paid him $97 otd for the transfer of the 3... Transfer fee, DROS, "tax, everything.

Tony Jaeggi is your guy. As long as you do your side of the work to make sure something is CA compliant, Tony will do the transfer.
