    Off Roster Question

Mother In Law in AZ got me a OR Browning, I live in CA. What do I need to do to ensure Im not jammed up if its ever ran during a interaction with LEO since there is no DROS record in CA, or am I overthinking this?

I'm pretty sure it has to go through an ffl to your wife/husband first. It's a pistol from out of state. Intrafamilial transfer excludes inlaws. According to the wikki it's a felony

Correct but no ppt needed due to husband and wife. You’ll just fill out a form.

Unless you plan on carrying it, it can remain in your wife’s name.

You’ll want to be careful of straw purchase (even thought its a gift).

Yes, your MIL can transfer to her daughter via FFL.

It also needs to go back to AZ and be shipped or personally brought to an FFL in CA by MIL. Your wife can not just walk into an FFL with it and do the paperwork. This needs to happen ASAP.
