I have a newborn son. Soon enough he'll be crawling then he'll be walking. I can't wait. What I need is a lock box for my handgun..something that can keep little curious hand off but at the same time accessed quickly in case of an emergency like a Richard Ramirez type psycho paying a late night visit to my house. Any recommendations?

How about one of these mounted to your bed frame?

Or just use the damn locks they make us buy.... gotta be useful for something.Originally posted by KestryllThe volume of blood necessary to achieve erection would cause you to either pass out or if you didn't and managed to maintain an erection you would likely die from lack of oxygen to the heart and brain.Originally posted by ivanimalJust be glad you are not his next door neighbor. I am sure there are "good tunes" flowing out the window. I am imagining a cop car pulling up at 1:30 AM asking "Are you having a party?" and Bundo sayin "Nope just me and the BG's"

I just keep my 45 up on a shelf, next to my bed, where my daughter (2 years old) can't reach it. I also keep it unloaded with the slide back and a couple of full mags next to it. If she were ever to get ahold of that gun, it would be empty and it would be unlikely that she could load it, release the slide, and shoot.
Do you know that a human butthole slamming shut after releasing a terd is the second fastest action ever recorded. (The drop of water that somehow manages to get in is the number one fastest action). That is how fast I can reach my gun, load it, and shoot without worrying about my daughter playing with my gun(s). I use the lock it came with at the gym to lock up my sneakers.sigpic

+1 to the MiniVault.
I own one and it is the fastest safe to open. I can have mine open in 1 second. Millions of posible codes with up to 4 different codes. Motion sensor that will set off the alarm if the box is moved. My battery has lasted 5 years so far plus it comes with a key incase they do go dead on you. I keep my CZ97b and my Glock 17 in there at the same time and I won the smaller one too."Calling an illegal alien a "undocumented worker" is like calling the drug dealer hanging around outside your kid's school an "unlicensed pharmacist."Comment
