    NRA renewal question

So my membership card says 10-31-2020. I get a letter in the mail saying final notice 7-31-2020. I would call them but in the past that was a pain to get threw.
I am a loyal NRA supporter even with all the drama. I think i got a final notice way early before ?.
i want to keep my membership current.

    They do that crap often.

The only part I do not recall is "final notice", but I received two or three early renewal bills.

If you can check back when you paid last, wait for the year to almost expire.

They did it to me every year. Now I am 4 yrs paid.
If they offer the solar charger or something I could use. I will pay another year.
      Otherwise just throw it away.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
      I'm Back.

Just do life and get it over with. When you're done with that do life CRPA, when your done with that throw them both some additional support every now and then.

^^^GOOD ADVICE^^^ If you can swing it financially.

Became NRA member in 1973...........went life in 1979.

Was CRPA member back in the Prop 15 days.

Dropped out when they went all wishy washy and not pro active 2A.

As soon a C Michel took the helm and CRPA started kicking *** again.

                I signed up for life.

Lol, I never had to worry about calling them, they are constantly calling me begging for more money. Giving me the "You do not want the NRA to shut its doors" Hell, last time was about 1pm today.

Here is the number they called from, knock yourself out. 1-571-390-9002 . They are offering lifetime for $800, or so she said and said you do not even have to pay it all at once. They do good but they also waste a lot of the funds they get. If they are hurting so bad, maybe LaPierre can sell some of those $300K worth of fancy suits we paid for.

Like JC Wentworth says in his ads on television "it is your money." Just don't whine when you see things getting worse and not better. Everybody needs to belong someplace but the phrase "ship of fools" always comes to mind for me. if you all go lifetime then when they have all the money they can get out of you why should they care what happens to you? But then maybe you'll belong to the club of the best dressed losers. Still don't have the second amendment rights you had in 1975 do you?

I was a 5 year member and went life and then endowment life at the 2019 convention. I plan on Patron at the next convention, but should probably upgrade before the election, so the NRA has more funds available to help Trump in areas he needs to win.

I honestly believe the money NRA gets from me is put to good use. Count me as an NRA member that approves of Wayne La Pierres expenses. I mean he has taken the NRA to over 4 million members, exposed every gun ban and is a true American hero and counts President Trump as a personal friend.

While I understand some non shooting cal gunners think proper attire is a backwards ball cap, sneakers, short pants and wife beater T shirt. I can assure you an effective leader must be dressed as others he deals with are dressed.

I’m a life member, and still get their “final notice” mailers...

^^^^Yep, go life with both organization's if you can. If you can only do one this year, consider CRPA first.

Life with NRA still means you get all the stuff in the mail and email, though it may be targeted to get you to upgrade to Patriot Life or one of the endowment levels....which you should do as you can...most have monthly pay options.

CRPA tracks all your donations, but I don't know if they automatically upgrade your Life Membership level when your donations hit the post-Life targets. They should. I recently almost held off donating thinking it might be better to save for a higher membership level, but figured they needed the money now and went ahead and hit the "Donate Now" button and put it on my To Do list to figure out how they track things and if they apply donations to membership levels.
