It looks like every other AR15 out there. Stick a light, bipod and Eotech/Aimpoint/Shortdot/ACOG and it'll fit nicely in the ARFcom picture thread, part 55 billion.

It looks cool, but I am put off by a price tag. A few shiny parts and they charge arm and leg. Marketing BS

Its a gun, I like it.

I'd buy it if I had the money.

I'd buy many things if I had the money.

It's like the First Lady in Maxim's 100 list. It ain't UGLY, but it's undeserving of anything special.

...but at least you'd have a chance with this one.

At $1500-$2000 they can keep it!

I'll pass, I'm waiting the Ruger LCR to get on the DOJ approved list, it's cheaper and you don't need mags.

I agree I'm hesitant to hand Ruger that kind of coin, but I'm leaning heavily toward it. I like the look of it. I like the piston system. I like that they used quality Troy parts.

I think they're looking to compete with Sig, as it looks like they have stepped on this everywhere Sig has stumbled. The price is high, but given that fully assembled ARs have sold for more than that lately, and you're getting some quality parts, I'm not off put by it.

I won't, however, stand in line to get the first one. I might be interested this time next year (if I'm not saving up for an HK416).

I was kind of shocked by the price as well, but like you said, it has ~$500 of Troy parts on it.

I wonder what the street price will be, $1600 ish?

The funny thing is that I'd have no qualms paying $1300 for a 'basic' Colt 6920.

Hmmn, if Ruger has done their homework, the build quality is there, the inspection process is there... $1600 or $1700 wouldn't be a bad price, all things considered.

Presumably the rifle would sell for less than MSRP after the initial clamor dies down. The pricing is on par with other GPU and once the the furor dies a bit, it will be even further into a good price range.

Meh...to expensive. Waiting for another recall for that would be funny.
