    BCM Recce 16 Mcmr

Been looking up info on this gun wanted some advice. Is it able to be shipped to CA if ordered online? Can't find specific info as to if it's CA complaint.

I see, any recommendations on a lower? Still new to a lot of this. What's the reasoning for the entire rifle not being able to be shipped? Thanks ahead of time.

They probably do not offer a CA compliant model.
That would either mean a fixed magazine or a featureless configuration without a pistol grip, collapsible stock or flash suppressor.

You could possibly order the upper and lower in separate orders and then reconfigure the lower and upper before you assemble them.

If you are not familiar with what it takes to make it legal, just buy a complete rifle from a local store.
They should only be selling legally configured rifles.

G&R Tactical has shipped BCM rifles and lowers to California in the past.

Don't know if they make them compliant now, but I would imagine they can send your FFL the lower and send you the upper. Then you or the shop can make the lower compliant before attaching the upper.

To be clear, I am not saying that G&R can and will do that. I am just saying that should be a way to deal with non compliance.

FYI, riflegear is a stocking BCM dealer here in CA, and they offer CA compliant rifles/etc.

If you want BCM upper and lower (I do) and too lazy to buy proper tools and self assemble.

              1) buy a complete BCM lower from local gun shop. Go home, swap out for fin grip and make the stock fixed.
              2) order complete BCM upper and have it shipped to your house.
              3) swap BCM's muzzle device for a CA compliant muzzle brake
              4) review CA gun law so you don't inadvertently make yourself an "assault rifle". This is for a featureless build. Know what are considered "features"
              5) combine upper + lower = CA neutered featureless BCM rifle.
              6) side note: you save yourself 11% federal firearm tax that you would have been added to the price of complete rifle.

Noobie, google semi auto rifle purchase California.

If you find a vendor that has one for sale, you could ask them if they would swap out the pistol grip & adjustable stock with a fixed stock & fingrip you would send to them prior to sending to your FFL. Ask them to include original stock & grip in the box.

Afterwards, you can keep it the same or reconfigure using a maglock & kingpin or whatever else you want to use.
