30 day undetermined specifics

Hey everyone .i got some questions about the 30 days and what happens after the 30 days. Like let's say that the 30 days is up and I'm still in delayed status that means my dros has expired and I have to start over ? Does the ffl get an automatic undetermined email on the 30th day ? I was told that a letter would be sent but that mesns that the doj has gone over the 30 day period . im just bummed that it went from 10 to 30 and now its when ever a letter shows up in the regular mail . .what is the actual process on day 30 .?

I believe it goes undetermined at your 30th 24 hour period.
It's the FFL's choice whether they release or not.

SYNOPSIS of what is supposed to happen according to law. Keeping in mind that Ca DOJ is just as incompetent as Ca DMV.

From start of DROS.....[time stamp] at top of DROS paperwork, purchaser can be [DENIED] at any time.

At start of DROS, [time stamp] clock starts. First 10 days/240 hrs is mandated WAITING period. [PENDING]

AT 10 days/240 hrs. [DELAYED] or [APPROVED]

Ca pc-28220[A]

OVER 10 days/240 hrs. Status can be [APPROVED after DELAY].

Up to 30 days/720 hrs LIMIT. At THAT time status goes to [UNDETERMINED].

Ca pc28220[4]

These status descriptors are supposed to AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE on the FFL's DES [DROS Entry System] software. At the appointed times mandated by pc-28220.

Read both 28220[A] and [4]. Take note that BOTH contain the EXACT SAME wording, as to the FFL's responsibility after either "APPROVED" or "UNDETERMINED".

Because both APPROVED, and UNDETERMINED after mandated 30 day/720 hr. Are EXACTLY THE SAME.

Any FFL who does not follow the LAW as WRITTEN Ca Pc-28220[4]. And unlawfully refuses to deliver on an undetermined status. Is committing a "BREACH OF CONTRACT". And should be sued for their GREED.

Ok so there is no "letter" .? It's all electronic and automatic . why was i told there was a letter invloved and that it could take up to a week extra beyond the 30th day .? Im going through rifle gear . they seem like they are a good outfit . and I have heard nothing but good things about them .
I am concerned that I will be told that my dros has expired after that 30 day happens. Especially since im being told I have to wait additional time for a letter through snail mail to arrive at the ffl. Why cant they use the dros entry system or email like the rest of the modern world ? Im thinking I need to drive that hour and be there at the exact time my 30 day mark is up . but the letter is making me wonder if the doj is intentionally letting these things expire so another fee must be paid and the buyer must wait again. This has got to stop .

Never use ffl that does not release on undetermined lots of clueless buyers out there. This has been advised for years.

Crazy , the fact that the when the Doj fails to its job. It's up to the Ffl to See if they think you are a good or bad guy in the end.

I received a DELAY letter dated twelve days from start date stamp of DROS. Went to my FFL last week on day thirty about a half hour past thirty day date stamp. YES, a letter is sent with the "New/Refreshed NICS Transaction Number" NTN number.
Maybe the FFL can go on line for the "New/Refreshed NICS Transaction Number" rather than wait for the letter?
If I was the FFL I would wait for the paper in my hand to make sure I have real record of it.
They will record when they DECIDE to release on UNDETERMINED.

The FFL can release on undetermined, they use the number from that letter when they release to you after being undetermined.

That is how I remember it, please correct me if wrong

Not factually correct. There is NO ONUS, in regard to either criminal or civil liability for the FFL to follow the LAW AS WRITTEN.

If they ARBITRARILY CHOOSE to deny a buyer their LAWFUL PURCHASE.

So your waiting for the letter to show up at the ffl? What abput the dros expiration day isnt that after day 30 as well? If it 30 days than 30 days to hour it should be. A police officer can get tje same info in 5 min . also its the 21st century for crying out loud with all the money they rake in they still use snail mail? It is OBVIOUS that this is intentional . I dont tbink votibg or protesting is going to change anything. Before the court even hears the case 5 more laws have passed .
