        Cap tactical is not.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

It might be a bit far south for you, but you could try calling Port Arms in RPV (in-home FFL) 949-395-5185. I bought a gun from him and had a good experience.

I live in West LA. Not many options. I drove 40 miles to Evans Gun World in Orange and another 40 miles to Greta’s Firearms in Simi Valley.

Both do PPT’s for walk-ins. Awesome people too.

              You can try
              Sharpshooter Indoor Range in Torrance.
              1827 W 208th St, Torrance

Anthony is helpful, and the owner Yumi is great.

              1. Treat all guns as if loaded (even when you know they aren't).
              2. Never point the muzzle at anything you aren't willing to destroy.
              3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target.
              4. Know your target and what is beyond it (avoid all collateral damage).

Do a google fu for gunshop in Burbank. Not exactly west side but close enough. And, exclude that "Burbank ammo&gun", that is a crappy place with terrible service.

I read a thread here on CG. Possibly titled SFV gun shops or something similar. There is a new and smaller shop in Burbank that will do ppt.

Also, can check with Aegis in the same area. They have always been friendly with good service. I'd check this first.

You can also try LA Cerakoe in Hawthorne. Call them first. I have also used Port Arms in RPV.

+1 Cap Tactical. I've purchased a handful of firearms from them over the last few years and they seemed to have gotten a little friendlier.

My first purchase with them was a Glock 34 and the guy who did the safe handling demo had an attitude and said I flagged him. No biggie so we did it again. Last couple times, guys I dealt with have been cool.
Too many rifles, not enough time...

Same thing happened to me at Cap Tactical with a bonus.

I was picking up my ppt, He came up with some lame excuse about my handling. I gave him a look and said ok, lets do it any way you say if it makes you happy.
Bonus: even though I had taken an extra padlock with to lock the OEM hard shell CZ gun case for walking from the store to my car (less than 30 feet), he said that I could not leave the store like that. Gave me another B.S. story about legally locked case.
I had to go to my car and get my briefcase to lock a locked hard shell OEM case inside a locked briefcase.

Guy was a real Richard. About 50ish, dark hair and mustache and acted like he was the boss/owner.
First and last time I ever went there.

Cap Tactical is within 1000 feet of a school zone. That may be why the extra requirements. I had a similar request from Carson Pawn on a purchase. The case had to be locked for that reason.
