Other than crossing state lines with ammo, are there any restrictions for an out of state civilian on purchasing ammo? Brother is coming down from Idaho and picking up ammo on the way here. He's gonna hate it when he gets here, ha!

Ammo shortage is the restriction. Ammo shortage doesn’t just apply to California, it’s country wide... but to answer your question, no, most places here in Nevada don’t care if you’re from out of state.

Pretty much this. I was in Reno last week, and stock was pretty low on most popular calibers. Pretty much no bulk ammo to be found in the bigger chain stores.

A matter of crossing only one state line and only in one direction. Hating California is not abnormal, lots of reasons.

I'd recommend purchasing the ammo in Idaho, and I've done what brother is doing...AND it's NOT against California law.

Not entirely true. California it's short on ammo, not out of state vendors. You can buy anywhere out of state and they have plenty of 9mm and 22l.

Most Californians don't know where to look and they think they do and all shop at the same place out of state. Simply laughable. No wonder you think every vendor in the US is out of stock. Lol
