    Dublin indoor range safety

Anyone been to the indoor range at Dublin Guns & Fishing recently? Considering they do rentals, do they do a good job enforcing the range rules? What are wait times like?

Was there about month ago, showed up at 9:30. They were taking the first 4 or 5 people so we got on the range at 11. Range rules are kind of enforced. There is only 1 guy behind the counter.

Haven't shot there since January, didn't see any bad behavior but not much official presence either.

Haven't been there since the rona, but it's my go to place to shoot.

The rental selection is pretty great.
Staff are super chill once you get to know them.
Get there as early as you can to get your name down, otherwise the wait time can be killer and will make you go to the Livermore range.
Don't do stupid **** and you'll be fine.

And as long as your "EXTENDED SCARY MAGS" identify as 10 round magazines they don't mind (As long as you're not doing stupid ****).

All of my experiences at Dublin have been positive. They get real busy, but that's to be expected. Especially now since I would imagine they have to skip every other lane.

They're also the only range that I know of that will let you do double-taps as long as you're not doing stupid stuff. If they catch you doing stupid stuff, you'll get the boot.

Shot there on Sunday, "Good Guy with a Gun class" no issues with full size magazines, multiple shots. Store was closed but imagine range rules still followed

Quick question, how long are the wait times if you don't get there by 10AM?

Pre rona, I shot there every other Friday around 5pm. Some days, no wait, others about 45 min. When the "groupon" hits it could be a bit longer and less safe...

Pretty on point, I've went on a Saturday when all the grouponers are there and waited a very long time.

They're the only indoor range in the bay area that allows rifle rounds up to 30-06, so that's cool.

Regarding safety, go early morning/afternoon on weekdays and you should be fine.

I've shot at and enjoyed both ranges. Good lighting and ventilation (compared to my days at San Leandro and Targetmasters).

Any place that rents guns is off my list. Got swept by a fool with a hot weapon twice at TargetMasters. Never again.

Are there indoor ranges that don't rent guns?

Thanks for the heads up. I've been to their gun shop in Castro Valley, and they're good people. I will definitely take a trip out to Tracy sometime.

Holy cow yesterday afternoon I called and they told me the wait time was 3 hours! Of course it could be because it was Friday and July 3rd. Clerk told me the best time to go was Tues-Thurs.

I went to Livermoore instead, didn't have to wait for rifle surprisngly.
