    Los Angeles Ammo Restrictions

    I'm looking to buy some ammo online, but I am not sure if the ban on shipping is just in LA city proper, or LA county? I've been researching, but I am not sure. Thanks y'all

      IIRC its a Municipal Code applicable to the City of Los Angeles. I live in LA county but in another city and have ammo delivered all the time.

                          East LA as it is referred to is not the city of los angeles. West LA is.

                              although online retailers may be reluctant just because it says Los Angeles in the address. If i lived in East LA, I would just use a different name like City Terrace or what ever they call the community in East Los Angeles

                                  Just get a PO Box outside the city. Problem solved. I think it's about $25-29 per 6 months. It pays for itself, but then again, it's like paying for freedom?! Sucks, I know.

                                          Many online retailers will not ship to LA County (regardless that the regulations only apply to the City), at least that has been my experience. I live in Glendale and both Midway and Sportsman's Guide refused to ship ammo to my home.

                                              It's the "city" of Los Angeles. However, if you're in Los Angeles, I'm sure you can put in "Hollywood" and the right zip code and still get it.

                                                  Some retailers do not give a s!$^ and will not ship to the County despite the regulations only applying to the City.

                                                      Not sure about that one. Have you used Valley Village and recieved ammo in the mail?
