Why did the moderator close my post?

I just posted for the first time and the moderator closed my post after less than 10 minutes with no explanation. What gives?

Because the correct answer was given and no further useful discussion would result.

But I'm still very confused. The administrator finally added his post to it, but only confused me more!

He said the answers before him were correct, but then contradicted them by saying that I could sell the pistol by walking into a CA ffl and selling it there after a 10 day waiting period. I'm confused. I'm not trying to break the law. I'm trying to follow it.

Selling a gun across state lines must include the services of a FFL, except for the special circumstances listed in your previous thread

He did not contradict the previous answers, you can not sell an off roster gun to someone who is not exempt. You can sell it to an exempt person but it will have to go through a 10 wait and background check.

Ahhh, OK, thank you. I'll just sell it here, in Washington.

You got all your answers and even validation by Librarian, who is probably the most knowledgeable member here on topics like yours. He closed it since there was nothing more to add other than misinformation and that would be of no help to you.

Frankly, I am surprised more threads don’t get closed. Too many of them get very sloppy and off topic.

                      Sorry you were confused.

It's an FAQ, thus the inclusion of the link to the sticky that explains the law.

This one closed, too. (Before the usual gang takes it to Strange Places!)
