I ordered a ghost rocket kit and kind of regret ordering it,

is the Ghost Rocket 3.5 Connector and 5lb trigger spring worth changing on stock glock 19?

thoughts and opinions?

Eh, just try it, a piece at a time. I found I like my G26 with the NY1 spring and a 3.5 connector. My G20 I’ve left stock because it’s trigger is just fine.

Depends. If the gun is a self-defense gun, I would not alter the trigger. It could work against you in court if you ever have to use the gun to defend yourself.

Personally, I don't believe in altering triggers until you've mastered the stock trigger - with some exceptions.

If the Glock is a fun gun or range toy, and you've already mastered the stock trigger, then modify to your hearts content. Have fun.

That said, Mas Ayoob may be an expert, but he is NOT the only expert out there. As a few would say, a good shoot will still be a good shoot regardless of the modifications. At the least where it can be used against you is if there is evidence, imagined or otherwise, that the modifications led you to "negligently" shoot someone.

On the other hand, some counties don't allow modifications to carry guns...


In conclusion - either way - as already been said, gain a level of proficiency with the stock trigger FIRST, then go on to aftermarket kits. Don't use equipment/gear to address training issues...

Everyone will say just train.
If the stock trigger was so good no one would mfg a aftermarket option.
Even if it was a great trigger people would still mess with it.
I would only, from my experience just get a minus connector.
Ive tried a handful of combinations, lantac connector with any weight spring has a long mushy pull and I mean long.
Red rocket and other 3.5 connectors have also given me long pulls.

Shadow systems trigger kit on two 19s with oem - connector and its stiff enough I can't stupidly ND but just light enough you dont really notice.wall is also nice.

OP, there is no black and white answer. Its all circumstantial.

Just keep in mind you live in a leftist state. The DA is leftist and will look to prosecute you if there is any shadow of a doubt that you didn't do everything 100% right. Not all prosecuting attorneys may know enough about firearms to have mods examined. But you're taking a chance.

People like Paul Harrell do videos about hyper and hollow point ammo - that something titled "Zombie Max" could prove a pre-existing intention to use your firearm... A trigger job could be deemed the same. The list of possible interpretations goes on and on.

All I know is my G19 is what sits next to my bed at night. It is stock, with a flashlight attached. I use hollow points labeled personal defense. I have other guns with nice triggers, but my home defense guns remain stock.

Ghost connector and spring is good to go. It’s still a Glock trigger, but slightly improved.

Just because you own it, doesn't mean you have to use it right this minute. I have parts all over the place. Some used, some not.

I don't know your experience level, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to swap parts if you don't already have adequate time on the stock rig. Some part changes produce slight differences that are lost on individuals that are not already intimately familiar with what they already have.

Some of these video don't address the exact question, but similar concepts. Several of these lawyers state a trigger job is OK. BUT, you're relying on those lawyers convincing an ignorant jury. I don't care how good my lawyer is, I'm not taking that chance - especially in CA. That's just me.

Why would you modify perfection? When you do go to modify guns, you're always going to be more heavily scrutinized by a jury if they were used in a defensive shooting.
