Daniel Defense Omega Rail in/lbs ??

what's up guys, just installed the Daniel Defense Omega Rail with a mid-length gas system. I got the set screws snugged down against the barrel nut and properly aligned however there in NO SPEC for the 4 rail screws.

The screws have a floating plastic sleeve I'm assuming that acts as some fancy anti-rotation lock. But what torque specs in inch/lbs are you guys using on these types of screws? I don't wanna destroy the insert by smashing it but dont wanna sissy it with not enough.

Anyone rocking the Omega Rail from DD?

I just hand tighten those screws, enough that the handguards are not moving around and the plastic washer/sleeve is not deforming.
That's how I did it on my Omega mid-length and Omega X 12.0 FSP and haven't had any issues yet.

Just for grins, I checked a few screws & they're showing about 12 to 15 in/lbs.

I would translate the "tighten screws until you feel tension" to 8-10 inch-lbs against a piece of plastic.

ok thanks for the input dudes, much appreciated...... I set my torque driver to 18 in/lbs and snugged them along an x pattern because I'm the anal retentive carpenter on SNL

Made sure not to damage the inserts by going slow and monitoring them.

MCMR's are the shiznit. Not just lighter. Much slimmer, too.
