Honestly I never had a good feeling about the Hellcat. It felt like Springfield shamelessly trying to cash in on the subcompact craze with yet another p365 or shield. All the YouTubers started shilling it at the same time and the whole thing just felt disingenuous from the start.

I thought it was cool until I saw it was made in Croatia, American gun brands should be made in America imo...pass.

I have tried to simulate the side pull "issues" other users have reported and I am able to replicate the issue with enough unnatural force that it occurs. I've also been able to replicate that with a XD9, Glock 17 and 19 with enough unnatural force.

That said, I have shot several hundred rounds through my Hellcat without a single failure or issue with the gun not going bang when I pulled the trigger. It went bang every time. In my experience there is no side pull issue. I am comfortable and confident enough that I have switched to the Hellcat from the Shield for my EDC.

There are only two issues I have experienced with the Hellcat - the grip texturing is rough when rubbing up against the body (Talon grips solve this), and when shooting extended periods of time I have noticed my pinky finger gets pinched between the magazine and frame. I have not heard of any other users reporting this issue so it could be just me.
