I feel pain for these babies.....

THESE ARE FROM THE LAPD GUN BUYBACK PROGRAM - MAY 9, 2009

I feel pain for these babies (the firearms, not the cop on the photo) that they are nearing their sentence for destruction. I hope that some of the stolen ones, may find back to their rightful owners.

I thought they were not going to be doing any checks on the guns at all, just immediately destroying all of them.
I guess if they actually returned a stolen gun to it's rightful owner, it wouldn't be quite as bad.

The news said they would return if lost.

I spy a lot of mil-surps! I would have paid a ton more than $100 or $200 for some of those... and cash too...

I don't see any of those evil weapons that they talk about so much on the news.

They're held in a special cage, so that they can't escape and wreak havoc.

I worked at Lakewood and Santa Clarita area gun program. Saw some nice guns and It broke my heart to see them to be destroyed. New Colt AR-15 SP model, Smith &Wesson model 17 revolver, model 28, some nice Russian SKS's...list goes on...

It makes nauscious knowing that they will be deystroying all of those guns. I have a buddy that used to work at the property room in our office. The dept switched from glock 19's to glock 22's and he had to personally saw in half over 150 perfect condition glocks. He said he still has nightmares about it...

Is that in AR in the lower left pile? It kind of looks like an A2 stock rifle with the carry handle... hard to tell.

The glocks are a mercy killing, but what did those C&R weapons ever do to deserve that fate....

Those poor things. I bet that barely made a dent compared to the guns on the street. I wonder how many dead bodies some of those have on them.
