For 300 rounds I would just use zip locks in the range bag.

But when I do carry a fair amount of loose ammo I like the Emdom ammo sac. It has a shoulder strap. It is available in small and large and a divided one. They are pretty heavy duty, and not as rough as an ammo can. I belive Blackhawk make one now too, maybe you can find those on a better deal.

Emdom/MM Split Ammo SAC is designed and built to carry loose ammunition. The SAC replaces bulky metal ammo cans and improvised loose ammo carriers like plastic bags and cardboard boxes.

But ammo cans are much cheaper.

That's a nice idea to have a lockable ammo can, but kinda messes up the whole utility of being able to fit 1,000 rounds of 9mm in the ammo boxes in 1 50 cal ammo box. 45 ACP also fits nice and neatly too.

Keister it, but make sure you use non-lead, roundnose ammo. I suggest still using an ammo can for rifle ammo...Don't ask me how I know.

I use a older heavy duty plastic toolbox. Looks like a toolbox. Doesn't look like it holds anything other than old tools.

Next range trip scavenge (recycle) discarded factory ammo boxes.
Then put your bulk ammo in those for subsequent range trips.
For classes I take loaded mags each caliber to make best use of class time. At the range I take 2-3 mags each caliber.

Id rather not take the whole container and just take what i need which is about 200 rounds of 9mm and about 100 of 556. What do you guys use? Id rather not throw it loose in my range bad . I want to throw everything in 1 bag and be done with it. Its a pain carrying multiple items
