The STI GP6 isn't approved for CA so I thought I would post about it here instead of the CA handguns forum.
I saw the video of the GP6 disassembly and it has a neat latched trigger guard that releases the slide. The barrel locking mechanism isn't like the tilting barrel design of the Browning design but uses some sort of rotating lug method. From what I gather from reading about the K100 and the GP6, the gun was designed and made in Slovakia, and the GP6 is a modified design by STI imported into the US. It's available only in 9mm now with .45 and .40 S&W in the future.
Anyone know more about this gun?
