    Less than positive feedback question.

I put up a pistol for sale and a calgunner claimed it. We agreed to meet about an hour away from my house for the PPT. We got there at 12:30 and waited until 2pm. The shop owner never showed and we agree the buyer would find another shop so we could get the deal done.

The buyer after has not responded to any of my many text messages. The last was 5/23. He ghosted me which I have a big problem with. No excuses, just silence.

I would like to leave this member neutral feedback since it has cost me half a day of time and $20.00 in gas.

    What say you Calguns?

Unless the buyer arranged for the shop owner to arrive, it is not the buyers' fault.

Your deal ended at that point unless you arranged to meet again.
You do not have a new deal unless he calls you with a time/date/location.
(That is not an excuse for lack of communication though.)

The time and gas is the fault of the shop owner since I assume the deal would otherwise have occurred.

I'd say let this one go.

I would send him a PM stating the gun is going back up for sale unless he contacts you within XX hours or days.

is he active here on calguns? you can check when was the last time he logged in, that way you'll know if he's ignoring you or he's busy with life.

Your time and gas money were for the original meeting. It's not the buyer's fault that the shop owner didn't show up. The second meeting is not really a meeting because a time and place was not set. That has not cost you any additional time or money.
        I would let it go.

It cost you $20.00 to drive an hour? What do you drive?

You both agreed to meet and the shop never opened.
Was that solely the buyers fault?
Sounds like a case for Judge Judy!

Some people can't take failure or rejection. Contact him thru PM about setting a new time and place within a certain amount of time or days letting him know if he doesn't respond you are relisting and moving on as others have pointed out. He may be ghosting you to see how you respond but it wasn't his fault, if it was my sale he would still be entitled to first dibbs.

Not cool what he's doing, but not something you can hold against him - he showed up at the initial (and only) meeting you arranged. The lack of communication afterwards is, I guess, how people today treat each other.

Give feedback based on your experience with dealing with the person, then move on. Calgunners are a bunch of sissys when it comes to posting anything but 100% positive feedback.

Ok, Ok, Ok, move on. Got it.

                              Thanks!

Yes $20.00 in gas is conservative. It was my half day wasted I was pissed about. If a sell had gone out of his way for me I would be 100% committed. Oh well. First world problems.
