Kinda overkill but MS2 or VTAC single point??

I'm leaning toward the MS2 single point sling. I already have the ASAP sling plate for my rifle, and am wanting something to connect to it. I have a cheap condor single point with a bungee on one part of the sling, but its just flat too long. There is no way to cinch it up tighter to my body as the adjustment is huge. I looked at the VTAC single point that comes with 4 different adapters and its a solid looking piece of equipment and worthy of the thought, it would work with the ASAP plate with its quick connect. Which of these two would you go with and why?

I loved my MS2, I had it since Feb and I used it extensively.... and I liked it a lot!!

Overkill with the amount of sling threads out there. Nothing really addressed single point slings at all. They were all pushing for 2 point which I didn't want.

Oh, also a question about the release mechanism on the MS2 was about the disconnect to transition from single to a 2 point sling. What mechanism is it? They call it a "lockjaw" but what type of attachment points will it connect to?

It just needs a loop. Basically, anything that the HK type clips work on should also work for the lockjaw clip on the MS2. So even a QD type swivel loop will work.

I just attended a 4 day Vicker's Tactical course up in Oregon and I wan't too impressed with the MS2 to be honest with you.

Granted, I ran it in 2 point configuration most of the time, and in that mode, it's really hard to adjust quickly for side to side transitions or going prone. There's just too much friction in their adjusting buckle.

But even in single point mode, the weight of the rifle really made that skinny sling bite in to my shoulder. A couple hours might be fine, all day was no bueno.

I ended up switching to a VCAS and haven't looked back.

Also, I tried attaching the lockjaw to one of the qd sling swivels and it was always binding up, so I bought one of these; http://www.cqd.net/CQDFSM.php and it works great, real solid.

I just want a sling that mainly tightens way way up close so that there is hardly any play at all. The rifle butt hangs halfway down my chest or lower with the crappy condor bungee sling that i've got right now. The muzzle is almost dragging the ground with an 18" barrel.
