5th Amendment. -
The word "occasional" in the law tells me it's ok as long as I don't do it year after year. They would have a hard time getting a conviction at this time since many people have to sell to put food on the table.
BTW: It's not 5 guns it's transactions. A transaction can include any number of guns.Comment

eaxactly, transactions means alot of things. thats confusing as hellThe word "occasional" in the law tells me it's ok as long as I don't do it year after year. They would have a hard time getting a conviction at this time since many people have to sell to put food on the table.

If you can prove you needed the money to feed your family/pay your mortgage/etc, I would hope the DA wouldn't file charges. If charges were filed, I think the court might be lenient. That said, who knows in this state.God Bless America - My iTrader rating - https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...2-transactionsComment

Several do.
Legal when multiple guns are in one transaction up to the 5 limit, 50 total per year.
Long guns are now included in the "no more than 5 transactions".

Does the five transactions per year law apply if you are selling the guns to out of state residents via Gunbroker or GunsAmerica online sales for example ?
What do you do if you need cash to pay your mortgage or medical bills, sell your guns in one lot to an LGS and take a beating on their value ?Comment

California politicians don't care. I took 40 guns to a gun dealer in January. 1 transaction.Comment

The 5 transaction limit is for private party transfers. Sales to an FFL or shipped out of state to an FFL for a online sale don't count to that limit. You would want to file the no longer in possession form with DOJ for either of those and keep the sales record/ indefinitely.Comment
