When you zero, do you account for the distance between bore and sight?

Is this for open sights, or a scope mounted 1.5" above the bore line? My money is on open sights...

Ahh, I didn't know the ballistic calculators did that. So they can account for the fact that the barrel and the sight are not exactly parallel?

Someone mostly answered this, but yes, definitely. I've been away at class (Sacramento Valley Shooting Center, yay!), so sorry for the slow response.

I was always told the closer you can get the scope to the rifle barrel the better off you will be. Not sure if this is true or not??
