Your sister has to be roster exempt like a cop. Or no off roster for her. Oh Ok your post was 2 minutes before mine.

The Gun Range on Watt Ave.
Opens at 9 am. Closed on Sundays and Mondays right now.
They are only doing 5 PPT a day and not by appointment
Not sure if transfers are included. My suggestion is call and ask. They are answering their phone.

First off, it's only a PPT if both the seller and the buyer are both physically in the store together. In that case there is no sales tax and the FFL will charge $47.19. A lit of FFLs dont have room or time to conduct these currently.

Second, if she is buying a gun from out of state to be sent into california it is an online purchase. Contact the FFL before making the purchase. The FFL in california will charge tax, transfer fee (any amount they want), and $37.19 for the state fees. She will also be responsible to pay shipping if the seller charges it.

Third, it still cannot have a threaded barrel or be an assault weapon u less her chief of police approves it and she jumps through all hoops. I dont think that pertains here but I had to say it.

In conclusion if she wants to avoid some of the additional fees she could contact an ffl in her area and have them order it for her.

If your sister is a police officer, she can ask other officers whete they have their guns shipped. Every town or locality has a shop that caters to officers without pain or headache.

Thanks for that! Called them a few times throughout the day today and no one answered.
