I shoot there a lot. A few of the range masters don't like OLL but several of them do like OLL. Either way, I have seen a lot of them there and the only time I have heard anything really said was if they where new shooters and having problems following the rules. I myself have helped many of the new shooters sight in and overcome any problems that they have.

I do usually shoot weekdays, not weekends. I have brought every thing from 22LRs to 50BMGs including belt feds. As long as you follow the range rules hey have never hassled me.

Also, Antioch Armory was bring in OLL from early on. They are definitely OLL friendly there.

So what exactly are you complaining about? The range or the guy from AA that didn't like your choice of gun?
      Various 1911s.
      Some revolvers.
      Some rifles.
Back to owning some of those "polymer" guns.

The long haired guy was shooting a bolt rifle with a scope.

The Older Range master was very nice when I talked to him for 10 minutes.

        dilligaffrn,
I did even shoot the AR before he made his comment. No, I didn't ack like an Idiot at the range.

        andybtruckin,
It could have been you on my left shooting an SKS 4 benches over.
From the sounds of things it was not anyone that works for, or at AA, just some tool in a AA shirt (BAD BOY sell those shirts).

Not to hijack this thread but, for the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would have a problem with AR's, AK's, Bullpups, or any of them.

I experience this attitude in some gun shops. In fact, when I worked at one of our local gun stores years ago, the manager did not like AR's or AK's, but thought nothing of selling SKS's, non hunting shotguns, and Socom's.

            The mentality eludes me.

              Inkman,
The guy that worked at the range that didn't like ARs. I was not even shooting close to him.
If you work at a range you should like all legal guns.

So what exactly are you complaining about?

It never stops amazing me how gun owner are our own worse enemy. The shotgun shooter that doesn't like black rifles or even action pistol shooters. The action shooters that can't stand the bench rest crowd and vise versa. The hunters and target shooters that don't get along. Pretty much all of them hate the big guns like 50BMG's.

I shoot pretty much everything, 22LR's to 50BMG's, rifles, pistols even occasionally shotguns and black powder guns. Why some people think that if some guns are outlawed that the anti's won't use that as a stepping stone to out law them all is beyond me.

                  Well BMGBOB, they are loud...

Really though, it's just another slice of society. Everyone hates everyone else. Same here, same everywhere.

I really need to stop being so positive...

I'm with you on this one. I love shooting any type of event and all types of firearms . I like shooting bench rest, sporting clays, reactive steel, etc. I'm better with a pistol than the other disciplines but, that doesn't stop me from enjoying them all. IMO, people who don't like other types of firearms and the events that go with them are merely putting limits on their own fun. Maybe if you're a world class competitor I could see sticking to one discipline to the exclusion of others. Mostly it is just ignorance. They don't own one, never tried one, or just suck at it so they bash it. Some people just can't stand looking bad at something. Throwing your fellow shooters to the wolves is just tacky.

i know, dont understand it either, it boggles my mind. I guess that if the antis find out about this then im sure they will use it to their advantage, with out a doubt.
