shooting in bakerfield area

i am wondering if there is any cool shooting spots around the bakersfield area. i am aware of some of the places near mojave but wanna see whats closer

Five dogs sounds like the place I went to a few years back, they have steel targets I think out to 500 yards. Gun friendly spot and the pistol range had a gong out to like 100 yards. If it’s the same spot I’m thinking close to the oil fields then ya I’d say it’s a cool spot to shoot but not a lot of shade. Rifle lines were open no over hang for shade but you can pull your car right up to shoot so ain’t too bad.

About 30 minutes up Granite Road from Bakersfield. The 100 yard line had about 20 tables, about half of them have movable shades (like umbrellas). Three or four pistol bays, lots of sporting clays, and trap ranges, private club bays, Cowboy action shooting. Membership required.
