Only dealt with them over the phone. Sounded cool, and they are open all 7 DAYS!

Went in for a PPTa few weeks ago. Dealt with a very knowledgeable gentleman named AVO. He even gave us his personal cell number and asked us to text him to inquire about the possible delays on background checks. We did, and he responded immediately. They were a little low on inventory but that's understandable these days.

Didn't know about this shop. Where's it located?

I've had good experiences with RTBLA and Burbank guns and ammo

Gun World is trash. Guns Direct is great. Burbank Guns and Ammo tried to trash talk Guns Direct and got steamrolled. Never been to GunsLA. Glad to see more shops opening.

              Second that.^^

Burbank Guns and Ammo is a terrible shop to deal with. Totally clueless of their own operations. And, I say this from personal experience.

I third the terrible service at Burbank Guns and Ammo. Gun World is also bad. Guns Direct are awesome people.

I've been to both Guns direct and Burbank guns and ammo, never had an issue. B.G.A .223 ammo prices a bit cheaper than anything else around.

GunsLA was one of the few shops that was available to do PPTs without waiting in a long line or paying an exuberant amount of fees a few weeks ago. Seamless transaction and seemed like a good group of guys working there. When I went to go pick up, I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes. I would recommend them based off of my PPT experience.

same here. both were fine. Having more options can't hurt, can it?

Nice! More PPT spots. Thanks for the heads up!

For the past year I've been getting great service at RTBA-LA, but more LGSs opening is awesome news.

I'll echo the praise for Guns Direct. Gun World is overpriced, but the staff seemed solid to me.
                            Gotta love Burbank:

Gotta love Burbank for the gun stores. Here's my take:

Guns Direct: Historically this is the place one goes for PPT. Pretty painless and decent service.

Burbank Guns and Ammo: They seem to have their social media down and always getting off roster items for PPT. As of a couple of years ago they also got a larger selection of ammo. Decent service.

Gun World: I can definitely see how their front of house staff can rub off the wrong way and want people to never set foot in there. I started out that way. BUT they have parts. I was able to go in and get parts for a 1911 that I'd otherwise have to order online. I've done this more than once (including for AR) and in all cases they were the only game in town that had parts (not just customization parts). They also have a good selection of arms. To be clear I don't mind spending locally as opposed to ordering online. And BTW those parts where cheaper at the store than online.

RTBA LA: Newer shop, limited inventory, no arms on consignment (said something about needing a different permit from the city). Seems to be a one man operation. Having said this, great guy (Vatche), great service and great place for PPT as well as online ammo delivery. I've been giving him my business as he's the new guy on the block and can probably use all the help he can get. His prices also seem to be a little lower than the competition and he's willing to order what he doesn't have.

In my personal opinion these local shops don't have the best prices on firearms and definitely not good prices on ammo. But they all do provide an essential service to the community and having a few around is a win for consumers (competition). And I think as people frequent all these places they'll find one that best suits their needs (or style).
