    Moiving to California

    Hello everyone,
I am IN process of moving back to California for a job transfer. I have a pods container to move my household items and was wondering if it was legal to send my firearms with household stuff in container? Thanks in advance

I have put some of my firearms in a Pods container before. Not sure if it was legal. Nor did I care.

First of, almost everything is illegal in California now.

Once you realize that then it's as Jonnyt16 said, pretty soon you just don't GAF anymore.

My condolences on the return to CA.

          Under Federal and CA laws/regulations...

It is legal to do so, as long as the firearms are unloaded and in a locked container, inside the shipping container.

          Note:
          1. The firearms must be CA legal.
^Can not be considered assault weapons or generally prohibited weapons (DD, MG, SBR, SBS, etc) under CA laws.
          2. No large capacity (11+ round) magazines or large capacity magazine parts kits can be legally brought to CA.
          3. No prohibited ammo (tracer, incendiary, explosive, handgun AP) can be brought to CA.

You can do it however they are not covered by their Content Protection Coverage:

Which types of property are not covered?
The Contents Protection Option does not cover items stored in the container that are prohibited by our Rental Agreement. These items include money, jewelry, furs, firearms, computer software or programs, credit cards, and certain other invaluable and irreplaceable items.
Have questions about moving & storage insurance or protection options from PODS? Not sure why you need coverage? Check out the FAQ page for answers.
