    Purchasing ammo online

Anyone knows of a reliable site to purchase ammo online here in California?

I buy from Sportsmans warehouse and pick it up in store - okay prices and no hassle.

During Freedom Hours, a lot of people ordered from SGammo.com and their reviews were very positive. I was going to purchase from them as well but I hesitated and Freedom Hours ended the next morning I woke up.

I've ordered from several different sources in the past, but I didn't have to worry about not passing the freakin' background check when I went to pick it up.

My concern now isn't the 'online dealer' it's whether I'll pass the background check when I go to pick it up (and have already paid for it).

Has anyone had any experience buying from LAX ammo online and picking up in store? Turner's and my preferred range won't accept ammo from them.

LAX ammo does not allow online purchases to be picked up. Ship only.
Prices in the store are different.
They do advertise store only sale.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

                  Zaya, welcome to Calguns!

Take a look at Target Sports, SGAmmo or Outdoor limited. The out of state prices are generally better than CA.

Here's the rub, though: You have to find an FFL here in CA (before placing an order) that will accept a shipment from out of state and then transfer the ammo to you. You will have to pay CA sales tax, pass the background check, and pay whatever transfer fee the receiving FFL charges. Additionally, the vendor you order from must be OK with shipping to CA.

Yeah, it sucks, but that's where we are, at this point.

? "If you want nice fresh oats, you have to pay a fair price. If you are satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, well, that comes a little cheaper."

I was looking around online... Ammo Bros ships from a central warehouse and allows in-store pickup, so they've said recently.

Anyone like them? Theres one about 15m from my place.
