    Change your budsgunshop.com password

Bud's Gunshop's customer list got hacked. I received an extortion email saying "I know your password is XXXXXXXX" and claimed to know a lot more, and demanded $2000 in bitcoin or else. I knew that was my password at Buds, so I logged in, and they gave me a popup notification that they had been hacked and advised changing my password. I filed a complaint with the FBI, including full headers.

FBI? Really? Do they have any leads? Are they working in shifts?

Fbi is too busy framing people to help.

Oh. So that's why I got the email. I knew it had to be from a very old site. I filed a complaint with the FBI.

I got the same emails! Since Friday morning, right? I realized that password was an old password I no longer use. So it is budsgunshop, huh?

The email claims that they have been recording my activities through my WebCam and threatened to send the movies to people on my contacts list if I don’t send $2000 in bitcoin. They also made comments as to “strange sexual habits“. Well, the best they can do is record my nose picking habits LOL

Little do they know that from day one I’ve been keeping a piece of masking tape over the webcam.

I got same email twice since last week. The subject was my old password. Mine was from LinkedIn not from budsgunshop. They were hacked back in 2012.

I got the same email. The password was one I haven't used for eight years and it was for some Amazon purchases back then. Since it came from hotmail, I sent the whole thing to Yahoo security.

You guys do know what happens to your info after a data breach right? That's why you don't use the same passwords for every login.

I tried to delete my account with them and they refused to delete it. She also said that they've never been hacked. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. Some people are just incapable of understanding the simplest of things.

I've got two of these in the past week and it's pathetic. The password's been dead for years, I have no webcam, I'm not on Fecesbook, and I don't own a cell phone.

Still, since they wouldn't do this unless there was a return, one wonders how many people respond?

Thanks for the heads up; I did not get any notice from Bud's or any miscreants
