Does this really exist? Browning hi power guys.

So I receive this picture in an NRA email ahwile back. The 1911 style bushing peaked my interest. Does this gun exist? Or is this a prop gun or an air soft or something similar?

I went to my ffl which is a competent browning gunsmith and has had experience with most variants throughout the years. He was stumped. He brought out a browning bda-9 that looks almost identical to pic.......but no 1911 bushing.

    Thoughts?

Austin Behlert was a very good custom smith who adapted 1911 style bushings to BHPs.

He has passed but his guns live on.

Just buy a cz with the accu-bushing. It is practically the same gun.

I'm not looking to buy one necessarily. My hi powers are accurate enough for my taste. I love the cz....but it isnt the same as a hi power.

I was just curious because I'd never seen this before. Based on the picture this is definitely not a traditional hi power. It is the browning bda-9. So my title is a little off.

Thanks TKM. I will do some more research on him.

So it sounds like it is an aftermarket 1911 bushing job?

I looked up Austin behlert. His bushings look way different. Also cant find any pics of a browning bda-9 with his bushing on it. And yes I handled a bda-9 recently to confirm.

          I'm leaning towards prop gun.

Looks like a customized Hi-Power BDA
