    The US military adopted MLok recently. So that should say something. 1913 is still the standard. Here's the new upper they have adopted

    History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes

      Keymod was never industry standard, mlok is currently the standard. Even the military is using it. That's my take from watching the market. I don't know of any new rifles coming stock.with keyword but many come stock mlok.

      I have rifles in keymod and Mlok, I prefer Mlok but I don't have any problems with keymod. The Mlok seems to sit more flush and is easier to remove, perhaps that is attachment specific though.

            US Navy did some testing a few years back between Mlok and keymod. Mlok did a better job holding up and retaining accessories.

              Drop-in = VHS
              Quad rail = DVD
              Keymod = HD DVD
              M-Lok = Blu Ray (winner)
              ??? = 4k Ultra HD

                    I’ve got M-loc and Keymod uppers. I definitely prefer M-loc. It’s much more comfortable in my hands and just feels more complete.

                      I JUST transitioned OUT of quadrail last year. Got my FIRST keymod upper then.

                      Other than the Troy TRX tube on my SPR, and my one Troy keymod upper, everything else is M-lok now - even my AR.22 trainer.

                        I'm still running a free float Daniel Defense quad rail on my Colt M4 . . . . works for me.

                          keymod looks like a penis.

                            How did you just notice? It seems like every evil black rifle on the rack has mlok now. I have had 100% reliability from my keymod, but mlok is the next 3-5 years (at least).

                            Honestly, I think mlok and keymod are both garbage. They might work, but the design is crap compared to pic rails. I came up with a new system, but the idea will probably just live in my head until I see it on the shelf one day (like most of my ideas )

                              An Aero Precision rep stated in an email to.me this week that they are discontinuing keymod handguards.
