Ergo grips for an AR-15. Do you like them?

I just discovered Joe Bob Outfitters and they are great! They have Ergo grips on sale for $14 and the FDE ones are on sale for $8! They are made of overmolded rubber like the MOE grips. I bought 2 of them.

Ordered on Saturday and they were in my mailbox this afternoon.

    Great product and great store

I had the same one in the pic on my DPMS Oracle before I went featureless. The grip was nice and a big improvement over the standard one that came with the rifle. Miss having it on my rifle as the fin grips suck. No experience with the MOE grips.

The Ergo Suregrip is the best grip on the market IMO.

They feel and look good, but they bend. That doesn't give me confidence in their durability.

I've got one on my SPR, and I love it. If I didn't hafta keep ear plugs and batteries in my Magpul compartments in my other grips, I'd probably run all Ergos.

I have one on my lr308, it is pretty comfy, but I actually think I would prefer a hard polymer over the rubber. Next one I try will be their Rigid grip

The original Ergo Grip, developed by Steve Hines, was the first truly ergonomic, shooter focused grip for AR platform rifles. Designed for performance by creating a better interface between the shooter and firearm, the Ergo Grip is still the standard by which positive grip and shooter comfort are measured. The Ergo Grip comes with the proprietary Gapper™ for increased comfort and Installation Hardware Pack. This grip was purchased by the U.S. Military for use on the original SPR and MK 12 rifles in 2001. What does the gapper do?

Have not used the Ergo grip. I do use the Magpul MOE + grip which feels like it has a rubber overmolding on top of the normal MOE plastic.

PogoJack, on a milspec lower trigger guard is a seperate piece and there is a small gap between the lower and the trigger guard. The Gapper fills that space so it is more comfortable as it rides on your finger

I like the ERGO grips on my larger guns. I have one on my .50 BMG and also on my 54R VEPR. I'm thinking about taking the palm shelf off my "AR match-grip" and using it on the .50 as I like it, but the match grip is hard plastic.

I have one on my AR10 style rifle. I like it. I also like the Houge rubber grip.

I agree, Joe Bob's Outfitters is a good vendor; good prices.

Ergo isn't as popular any more since Magpul came out with the MOE+ grips.

A decade ago Ergo was the go-to rubber over-molded grip. My second AR build was a BM Dissipator upper on a Stag lower with an Ergo grip and Sully stock.

If my memory isn't betraying me, what I liked about the Erog is its rubber wasn't as sticky/grabby as the Hogue over-molded grips.

Ergo, VLTOR, and Tango Down all had a bigger share of the AR accessories market back in the early to mid '00s.
