Wear on Finish - Protection?

Hey all,

My competition CZ pistols show wear from the holster and use on the finish. These are all steel pistols. I actually like it.

Do I need to do anything special to avoid rust?

CZs are parkerized under the paint. Just keep oil on it. If parkerized layer is breached you will get some patina on bare steel. Gun will still be 100 percent functional. No need to worry

Czs are cheap guns. If you rust the gun to the point it hampers function, throw away and buy new one. It will take 100 years to rust through though if u oil it

just make sure to wipe off the sweat and wipe oil on it to protect it

honest wear does look nice, especially if your the guy that used it, carried it

Thanks guys. These are my competition guns so I really don't care about the finish. And as I said, the wear on them looks pretty cool. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have to do anything special. I do maintain them so got the oil part covered.

If you are using them they wont rust in those places... Stop using them and its another story.

If it ever gets bad enough, you can always have it refinished.
