    Hexmag 10/30 Series 2 issues

I recently started to get some jams when shooting one of my AR rifles, nothing crazy, but 1 out ever 60 shots or so. After clearing the jam I noticed the round was generally indented near the top of the brass and sometimes the bullet would have scarring. After shooting more rounds to identify the issue, I noticed a crater forming in the follower of my Series 2 10/30 Hexmag.

It is strange though how these magazines seem to only malfunction with one of my ARs - the rest of my rifles run great with no issues.

Any suggestions on what could be causing it?

I am guessing it could be the bolt or maybe I have a heaver weighted buffer tube spring in that rifle? Not sure if that would cause a crater in my magazine follower and it is strange that it happens randomly.

    Any help is appreciated.

Why hexmags? There are so many good options out there to begin with that are already cheap.

Do you have the same issue with other magazines?

No, which definitely points to the hexmag being the issue. The mags do run great in all my other rifles though.

Absolute garbage. I had one and it jammed in every rifle I used it in. I threw it away. Now it's only pmags and GI mags.

                IMO...
Hexmags are only good for range use, practicing stoppage drills, and should be considered disposable, due to how fragile they are.
