Here is a new one.

Gun specs
AA upper 50 beo 16” barrel
AA bolt group and charging handle

So the gun was cleaning prior to going to the range. Every time I shoot it the charging handle slaps me it the nose. Anyone have a fix for this? It didn’t happen before.

The normal cause of charging handles popping out of the reciever when the gun is fired is excessive colt carrier travel.
The gas key strikes the charging handle.

The buffer and buffer tube length are what limits carrier travel.
The buffer should come to rest on the inside of the buffer tube BEFORE the gas key can strike the charging handle.

Without knowing what buffer/tube you have, it's not possible to say what the fix is but check how far you can pull the bolt carrier to the rear with the charging handle while the bolt catch is engaged.
This should be between 1/8" and 3/16" and should never reach 1/4".

Sorry I'm visualizing it and laughing can you post a pic of the Charging handle in firing position and pull the Charging handle back lock the Bolt in place and pull the charging handle out slightly . I
own a 50 Beowulf. Maybe its something simple

The gas key might be binding together with the charging handle.

Lock the bolt back and try to push the charging handle forward. if it sticks there is your problem.
