    Wind Charts

I don't have good wind charts, so yesterday, while I was at home with a cold, I did some poking around the internets and found an MS Excel spreadsheet ballistic calculator (pretty nice with no macros).

I spent a little time and added a sheet for Wind Charts and printed them up on waterproof inkjet paper, stuck them in some photo-laminates and now I'm cookin with gas! If you change the inputs (bullet weight, BC and velocity), the plots update themselves.

I set the background to light grey, figuring that plain white would be blinding on a bright day--it came out pale green, but that's OK. I don't know if it's from the funky paper or maybe my printer has a cold too.

    Drop me a P.M. if you'd like a copy.

I'd have no clue what to do with that but I sure appreciate the nerdiness of it.
    Good work!

You estimate the wind speed (one of the red rings) and direction, then pull the read off the necessary windage correction (black numbers).

      At 600yds (with my bullet) a 10mph wind from 2 o'clock needs 18clicks.
