A used G19 goes for $350-450 depending upon condition, sights and accessories.

The point is we don't know what's going to happen. Maybe the shelves fill up 2 months and maybe not. Maybe there's interruptions to our food supply chains and there's civil unrest.

Maybe Glock components are sourced from China and they aren't getting resupplied.

So if u know that we'll be safe and everything will be stable and orderly and supply lines will remain in tact then maybe you're right... But maybe not.

Spending an extra few hundred to hedge against the uncertainty over the next few months (or longer) is worth it to some peoplee

U call them morons but what guarantee can u offer to convince everyone they nothing bad will happen?

If selling guns was purely a community service, every gun would be priced at $0.00. After all, there will always be a small part of society who will never be able to afford a product that isn't free, just like there is a small part that can afford a $800 Gen 3 Glock. Should homeless people and single mothers not be able to defend themselves? Especially when they have to afford food and clothing before even considering buying a gun? And what about the guy who is absolutely willing to pay $800 for a Gen 3 G19 to defend his family, but can't find a single one because, at $399, they're all sold out. Are the lives of his family less valuable simply because he makes more money than you?

Take Uber for example. They adjust prices based on demand.

Say it's 2AM and everyone wants a ride home from the bars but all the cars are taken .

Uber raises prices and Pays the driver's more. This motivates more drivers to stay up later and drive to the bars. It's great because now there's enough drivers to serve those willing to pay more. The rest have to wait until the prices come down.

Prices come back down when too many drivers are in the area or everyone already went home.

          So same with glocks.

Let's say there's only 100 glocks for sale and they're $499. Then there's a panic and they sell out. Now you can make extra money selling your glocks. You weren't going to sell but you will when prices go up.

No one wants to pay more but without people like you selling for more, no one could buy one.

Raising prices when demand is high is essential for bringing more product to the marketplace.

YOU SHOULD RAISE YOUR PRICE. It's exactly what will help balance the number of buyers with the number of sellers.

Buyers complain when prices go up but I never see them complaining when the market is flooded with G22s and they are selling for $300.
Yes! Thank you. You didn't skip junior-high economics, unlike many people here.

Hey hey hey. I'll undercut you on my sale, $799.

HA! You didn't take into account my 50 rounds of high demand super speed for hi capacity magazine ammo.....

You must be talking about the elusive German Glock 7. Costs over a month's salary.

Due to supply and demand. People want them, and there isn't any out there. Glock is a name that is literally tattoo'd on some people's biceps, so the power of branding and the lack of supply drives sales.

I mean, plenty of other guns out there for panic buyers that would suffice for their "put it in my dresser and forget about it until the COVID panic blows over and then sell it because guns are scary after all" needs, but its easier to follow the crowd.
