Good evening,
I hope this finds you all Roni free. I've been buying ammo online with my FFL 3 and COE for about a year now and it's been working like butter. I normally purchase through Target Sports USA (TSU) or Big Daddy Unlimited(BDU). Both have been problem-free to date for myself and highly recommend them both for home delivery.
However, I recently decided to try out American Marksman; they had some attractive deals on .300 /7.62x35 blackout they also regularly carry the M118LR I like to run in my 700 and in my previously owned M1A. And tout lake city components.
Given the craziness of shipping and the panic buying the turn around on shipping was fast for what I'm assuming is a smaller operation relative to TSU and BDU. I ordered 500 of their subsonic and 250 of their supersonic. However, what I received appears to be reject 7.62x51 M80 steel. The brass is dinged, the annealing is poor and inconsistent, and the brass is undoubtedly not new.
Questions for you all,
1. Has anyone done business with this company before what are your experiences?
2. What kind of head ache am I looking at for shipping the ammo or selling it having received it for myself as a none ammunition vending FFL?
3. Is this normal quality for their ammo?
In the photo I pulled a hand full from the shipment.
Top is American Marksmen M80
Bottom is Lake City M80
The box also appears to have a QC mark
