Same experience from a guy in Kentucky. He has a friend who has a friend who had exactly what I was looking for. He had just joined CG that day...scam!

Have got them from Tennessee and Chicago I know they are 100% scams if wtb add is on a off roster gun because scammers in India don’t know our gun laws

Just a FYI here. A couple of weeks ago, I posted in the wanted to buy forum that I was looking for a pistol that is fairly rare in California.
So far, I have received 3 private messages from 3 different brand new members that "so and so in San Diego or Chicago has that pistol", and then a listed email to contact.
I'm 99.9% sure this is a scam and I haven't contacted any of these guys.
Just a reminder that low life scammers are everywhere.

But guns are illegal there - it would be impossible for someone in Chicago to sell a gun.

You should tell them you will do the transaction face to face in cash and that's it.

I had this exact thing happen to me as well. The first one was in san diego, its not too far so I actually contacted him. Realized it was a scam and backed out. The next day a "friend" in Chicago had what I wanted. I wonder if this actually works on people here
