    LGS Not Doing PPTs

I know **** is a little crazy right now, but finding a shop to do a PPT is hard at the moment. The state ****s on our gun rights, then to top it off, the "gun guys/2A lovers" in the gun stores take it upon themselves to **** us as well. Just ranting.

Kind of makes you wonder if it's just about money to some of these guys. It would even make financial sense for them to vote Democrat cause they actually make more money when they're in charge. Causing panic buys whenever there's new legislation is better than constitutional carry and free trade in the parking lots.

Just like the response to shutting down travel, work and business because of the virus. Dow 20k is what happens when everything stops so there's no interest to do it, not in China, not in the US until the news starts showing the devastation.

Dealers refusing PPTs during COVID...! Legalities?

Most dealers I have contacted are refusing to do PPTs during the COVID crisis. These same dealers are also very short on guns to even sell. They are saying "PPT suspended" and things of the like.

By law I know dealers are required to do PPTs (with written request?) so if one does a request and it is denied, sucks to be you?

It seems like it would be smarter to just be able to charge more (legalities on that I know) and the margins on firearms aren't that much. A higher fee would make sense instead of outright refusal.

Not by written request. The 'written' part of the law refers to the fact that the transfer shall be recorded in writing, aka a DROS

Most are just doing pickup only right now with no new transactions.

Ah yes you again. You could help ppl by deferring them to some helpful posts.

OP yes many not doing them, it's wild. Also illegal I believe.

Theres Ffls that will give any excuse not to do Ppt. And when and if they do it's a total cluster...
Theres a reason I only do Business at 2 Ffls
Doms and J@Rs in Livermore. Both are easy to deal with and J@Rs should be training other Ffls how to do a Ppt. 15 mins or less in and out.
