    I am continually amused (sellers)

by the MARKETPLACE posts that do not have images but expect potential buyers to ...text.. for pix.
    Plus selling PAIRS of guns.

I never do look much at "selling for a friend."

    Okay rant over.

I like how when you try to sell a box of unicorn ammo for a fair price,
    and still get lowballed.

Well, that's the good part of a free society. If you don't like it, you can just ignore it.
On the other hand, a extreme example would be--"I have a brand new, never fired, xlnt condition xxx brand pistol for sale". Would pictures really be necessary?
And, not all of us have the ability, or want to learn, how to post pictures here.

That's called being lazy. If you want me to pay top dollar for your firearm (or any other used item), you better have good pics. No, I will not text for pics.

Of course there are exceptions... I don't need to see a pic of your bnib stock glock 19 gen 3. But I do if you added mods...

I love seeing listings for used $2K guns, or more, with no pics and barely a description. If you want me to meet your price, earn it.

Ads with no pics get skipped over, just like I do when I’m shopping for cars or trucks.

Of course, there could be exceptions but generally that’s what I do.

When I’m a seller I would never even think about not posting pics.

              It’s just dumb marketing.

Even for something bone stock and newish people want to see it.

I guess, if you can get more than new price for a readily available used gun then more power to you. My opinion that nothing used is worth more than 37% of a new one. If it's a longer available classic, that's different.

I got that same response from somebody that I asked for pics on his BNIB everyday average rosco. Just cuz It's BNIB doesnt mean it wasn't beat to ****. Pics just make sure I'm not wasting my time. Already run across supposed BNIB with scratches and dings. But then again I don't waste my time if there's no pics.

Guns I’m thinking about selling but putting off because of lockdown/too busy FFLs.

                          Colt M45a1 custom shop
                          Kimber Micro 9 Texas Edition
                          Walther PPQ M2 in .40
                          Canik Shark in OD
                          Beretta 9000s in .40

Maybe when the madness ends and I’ll post pics to make the OP happy of course.

My chuckle is the NIB ad with a picture scraped from the Manufacturer. Just because it is NIB or LNIB does not mean it isn't being scraped and dinged in the seller's safe. So, just "SHOW ME THE PICTURES!"

I agree is it a marketing deficiency that results either from a lack of knowledge about the sales process or from being just lazy. Tell the buyer honestly what you have and motivate them of their need to buy it. I believe a well written ad with proper pricing leads to a faster sale and better sales price. Write a lousy ad and/or over price the item and it will remain on the market longer and if sold will often result in a lower sales price.

Don't whine about your 43 BTT posts if you haven't properly done your part.
