Would this work? Castle Nut wrench for AR15

I saw these at Home Depot, but have no idea if this would work to take off and put on a new castle nut. Anyone know?

Takes one week for delivery. Trying to borrow one in the SFV and have a couple people that are trying to help, so that might work.

Just curious if these would work, but no idea as to sizing and I tried to search Google, but nothing.

channel lock plier might work. don't forget to use paddings like old t-shirt, belt or bicycle inner tube.

Nah, brah. A real wrench will distribute force along each of the slots. This think from Home Depot puts all the pressure on one point. Expect deformation and failure.

                Won't work, too small.
The castle nut is not critical to "torque" down for one or two trips to the range. Hand tighten or smack it once with a punch. That should be good enough until your proper wrench to arrives in the mail.

a flat hear and mallet work in a pinch the important part is the staking.

Seen many armorers use just that.

Personally I would hand tighten it snug then use a punch and hammer to spin it a bit more. But if you post your location someone nearby may be able to provide the wrench or advise where to find one in stock.

I'll sell you one of my castle nut wrenches for $15.
                        Orange County.

Also looks like tool posted grabs on to a raised notched. Doubt it'll go into a AR notch.

                          This ^^^

Build your AR and come back and tighten the castle nut when the wrench arrives.
