The following services have been determined "essential" for public safety and compliance with CA DOJ, ATF and Local Law Enforcement Agencies:

Scheduled qualification training for LEO departments - all contracted shooting services for these departments will continue, without interruption.

Firearm RELEASES for ONLY merchandise that a Federal and/or State Background Check has been initiated and approved. All customers in this category will be contacted by our Compliance Team, to make an appointment to pick up their firearm, maintaining social distance requirements and limiting store access to the individual purchaser only.

Why are people still doing business with them.

I'l rather shoot in my backyard. (I live in the city)

I shoot there on a regular basis. AFAIK, they're the only range in the area that don't have a 1 shot per second rule i.e. double taps, rapid fire, etc.
