This is what prompted me to join CRPA and renew NRA.

I know a lot of people have serious problems with the NRA but I gave them $35 regardless. They are the most visible gun rights org in the country, and I think swelling their membership numbers has value in and of itself, even if half of it goes to Wayne's suit allowance.

Its the ONLY organization the liberal gun grabbers are always fighting against and seems to drive them up tree's. THAT should say it all as to the NRA's effectiveness... Wayne's suits not withstanding.

I will never understand why anyone needs to spend more than $1500 on a suit.

Aside from supporting the NRA and CRPA, write or call your CA Assembly rep and express your opposition to this, and any other bill, that tramples on our 2A Rights.

I did this as well... unfortunately my rep is the douche-canoe who introduced it in the first place, so I am sure no notice was taken, but still did it.

Some of that depends on what the true agenda/intent is/was. As an incremental step, it was 'easily enforceable,' up to a certain point, assuming the idea was to shut down ranges, preclude practicing with self-defense ammunition, making it more difficult to use firearms in general, and providing disincentives for retailers to carry lead-based ammunition.

As a Statewide ban on the use of all lead ammunition, not so much.

You just have no problem with the passage of unconstitutional and unenforceable laws that can be used on a whim by LEO's and the "system" to selectively oppress citizens do you? Unlike "elite" limousine liberals like you, the majority of us want to always obey the law. YOU on the oither hand are voting for the party/politicians passing these laws and then come here into CalGuns and frequently encourage everyone to ignore them as "unenforceable". If they are unenforceable, WHY THE HELL DO YOU VOTE FOR POLITICIANS WHO WASTE THEIR TIME AND YOUR MONEY passing unenforceable laws or do you think its "cute"?

It is easily enforceable. Fines aren't supposed to be cheap. Loss of business isn't a guess, it will surely happen. Closing of ranges will happen due to loss of business. Not everybody can afford to purchase non-lead ammo to plink with. Can't afford ammo or even have a place to shoot why purchase a gun? Lack of guns and ammo sales, ranges and gunshops go out of business. That is just how things work.

Have you read the bill or just think its all just hype? I'm guessing that you really don't know what is happening here in the fruit and nut state. Personally I'm surprised they pulled it since it will pass and be signed into law. With a super-majority they can pass anything they like.

This, is an organizational behavior/organizational dynamics thing.

There’s always one. One person, who sees it as their personal right to play St. Peter, To decide who can, and who cannot, be a member the club and play in our sandbox.

                              Yes sir, I’m a progressive
Yes sir, I generally, vote Democratic.

In most ways, I’m a San Francisco Liberal
In a few ways, most decidedly not.

Clearly, firearms is, one of those ways.

I’m a big one for quotes. The late, great(!) investigative journalist Molly Ivins once said; “People in this country like to think the political spectrum runs from right to left. Really it runs from top to bottom.”

If you’re a ‘single issue’, gun rights uber alles, voter, and you’re not a member of, the ten percent anyway, you sir voting directly against the short and long term social and economic interests of you and your loved ones.

Somehow that a, mostly, San Francisco progressive could also be a firearms guy, just doesn’t compute to you? This to me, seems like an incredibly simplistic, spoon fed , myopically reductive view of the world beyond your immediate sphere of reference.

Over any extended period of time, no one agrees with anyone else, about everything, all of the time. I don’t pass summary judgement on anyone/anything/organization/movement based purely on the on the worst thing they’ve done or the one thing they do that I least agree with.

I am all about, in the aggregate, do you do more good than harm, or more harm than good. This is a fundamental question to me.

I work to try to grow the CA firearms community. My way of giving back, is that I volunteer as an RO at my local range. I’ve discovered I thoroughly enjoy teaching folks. Teaching beginners, or just helping someone improve incrementally. Help them with their grip, trigger control, rifleman’s cadence, arm position, stance etc. It’s fun to see someone get excited as they see themselves improving. It’s also important to help grow the CA shooters population. That to me, is the most important part. This is CA. We need more folks on our side.

As I’m thinking about this, maybe that, right there, is the big difference between you and I sir. This to me is about inclusivity. This is CA man. We need more folks on here. Thus Kes’s ‘play nice with all of the newbs’ post.

Whereas you spend your time and effort trying to castigate, shame and vilify me. How do you see it as your right to decide who can and cannot participate here based on your personal litmus test?! Why such effort to exclude me, and I suppose anyone else with the temerity to raise a question here on the, mostly(!), christian nationalist, authoritarian playground that is CG?

                              I’m not the enemy here.

We may have some fundamental disagreements, about a lot of things. But that doesn’t make me, any more, or less of a firearms guy than you.

That's all of the bandwidth I’m gonna’ devote to you s**tbird.

                              Off my soapbox now.
                              Yes sir, I’m a progressive
Yes sir, I generally, vote Democratic.

With every one of your votes you are working to strengthen the very people / party committed to disarming America at the same time they empty the prisons and destroy the bill of rights!!!

How do you see it as your right to decide who can and cannot participate here based on your personal litmus test?!
I have nothing to do with who participates here or not. I dont care if you do or not.. that is your choice and the choice of the owner. I simply want my fellow CalGun members to know WHO YOU ARE and what you are doing to help destroy their gun rights as they read your posts. Think of it as nothing more than me helping you with FULL DISCLOSURE that you should be proud of! If you find it embarrassing that's on you. You have made you views known, FREQUENTLY. It certainly isnt the slander you falsely accused me of as I was clearly accurate and factual per your own hand/posts.

                              I’m not the enemy here.
No, gun owners like you ARE the enemy at every turn and I want to hold you and every turncoat gun owner accountable for your votes and choices that are destroying the very things this forum and the vast majority of its users stand for.

We may have some fundamental disagreements, about a lot of things. But that doesn’t make me, any more, or less of a firearms guy than you.
No, I am a firearms guy who acts in word and deed to protect the 2nd amendment and the RTKBA. YOU SIR, are a limousine liberal who wants us to listen to what you say, not judge you by what you do and I am sorry I can not give you or any other gun owning democrat hypocrite a pass. You sir, can not vote for the very people destroying firearms ownership in this state and country and claim to be a firearms guy like the rest of us.

I have donated too much money these last 30 years, walked too many precincts, stuffed too many envelopes, manned too many phone banks and walked to many pickets fighting for ALL OUR RIGHTS to let you get away with saying you are a supporter of our gun rights. You simply enjoy the hobby of owning guns, a luxury you enjoy on the backs on the rest of us and when YOUR elected officials take them away...you will not be there fighting along side us, you will probably be turning us in....

It certainly isnt slander you tried to accuse me of as it is accurate by your own hand/posts.

You simply enjoy the hobby of owning guns, a luxury you enjoy on the backs on the rest of us and when YOUR elected officials take them away...you will not be there fighting along side us, you will probably be turning us in...

You can pretend you are one of us but you are far from it amd I won't let you perpetrate your deception any longer. All I am doing is helping you be a responsible person and OWN WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!
