Asked for .22lr got .22 short

So I ordered some 22lr snap caps off of midway and when I opened the package, which was labeled .22lr, it contained .22 shorts.

    Weird.

    -Edit

Checked out the feedback left by some other customers. It's .22 short alright.

So send them back and get a refund!
sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

The length of the snap cap does not matter because it is the rimfire. Just use it. The rim area is the critical area, not the overall length. I believe they made it that way so you can use it in both calibers.

              Correct.

However, if you don't want it, download the return form from Midway and send it back, claiming it wasn't what you expected. They will refund your entire order, including return shipping.

Snap cap is for dry firing, and action proving dummy rounds is for function check. So, dummy rounds should be the correct one. For dryfiring, snap cap with short length for rimfires are fine.

The Midway reviews say that they are short. I don't think you will get longer ones by sending them back.

The picture shows a .22 short. They will do the job just the same as if they were the length of .22lr.
