Beretta is a good choice. I'd get the Inox for $549.00 though.

Thompson TCR is good, Ruger 10-22 if on sale, maybe a Buckmark. You need some .22 in your collection, they’re just fun to shoot! And also great for practicing fundamentals, and making sure your buddies don’t shoot off all your ammo.

I've been looking for a .22 pistol but the selection is so limited to mostly revolvers because of this dumb roster

Do you have any websites or stores that you look at consistently to compare prices and look for a good deal?

Pretty much shop around gunstores on occasion, some have online shops you can browse and there is always Turners online gun rack along with thier closeout section, some large online websites sometimes have screaming deals.
Just dont be in a hurry, you will see what stuff goes for and when a deal pops up you grab it.Got the Turners spring catalog a few days ago there are a few good deals in there, but with the buying panic its gona be hard to find them in stock.

I like the Walther P22, it is available here (in the CA version). Not expensive either. I see Ruger pistols listed in the classifieds sometimes too, I have heard good things from them, used by a lot of target shooters.

Henry Lever Action in .357 Mag for some nostalgia
I understand the desire for a lever carbine for the nostalgia, and while Henry is an American gunmaker with excellent customer service, there's little else nostalgic about them. The name is old, yes, but it's not the OG company, and the guns are heavy in weight for what they are. Regardless, a lot of folks like 'em, so, there's that.

For period lever-action firearms, look to Winchester, Marlin and the Italian reproductions of the classics such as the Winchester 1873.

And like Garv noted, you should acquire a single-action revolver to go with whatever lever carbine or lever rifle you choose.

And absolutely! as Powder Keg said, get yourself a .45 caliber 1911, either a used Colt or a new/used Springfield.

                          .

AK's are fun and ammo can be cheap. Well, I haven't shopped in a while, but it used to be cheap-ish!

                            Take a look at this!

Ruger Wrangler or Heritage Rough Rider are both fun and cheap. The buckmark is my favorite pistol to shoot, lots of different models available. Ruger Mark IV is similar but off-roster.
