Email explanation I received from Sam dated 8/30/18.

“Sorry, as of March 16th I am no longer accepting orders to CA. It was a tough 2.5 months doing business in CA since the law changed, dealing with the CA clients dealers and processes literally doubled the amount of admin work for me, as in twice as many emails to deal with, twice as many database queries, 5 to 10 times as many document corrections, dealing with clients and dealers that did not want to follow our protocol or fudged their documentation, and more, it actually made me start hating my job for the first time in 17 years, all for less than 1% of our total sales. We made the call on March 16th just to discontinue business there completely to anyone regardless of exemptions.“

I am sorry for his troubles... really am... but the dude should really reconsider, especially since with the gradual decrease in the number of vendors shipping to CA... he'd probably see a substantial uptick in business from CA.

I would more or less immediately buy out a substantial portion of his stock of Australian Outback 69 gr 223.

But why? The whole point of this thread is they are so oversold and have so much business they are having to refuse any more sales till they get caught up. Clearly getting business isn't a problem, and the peace of mind not playing a legal juggling act is totally worth it, I'm sure.
